Everyone knows LEDs use less power. Around 75% less than incandescent, roughly half of fluorescent. On a house with a lot of recessed cans or a garage full of tube fixtures, that's real money every month. But the bill is only part of it.
Better light, if you choose it right
The reason some LED retrofits look cold and clinical is the color temperature. 5000K belongs in a shop. 2700K to 3000K is what a living room wants. 3500K to 4000K works in kitchens and bathrooms. We pick per room, and we match dimmers to drivers so you don't get flicker or buzz.
Fewer ladders
A quality LED fixture runs 25,000 hours or more. That's a decade of normal use before anyone climbs a ladder in the entry to change a bulb.
Cooler ceilings, safer cans
Old halogen and incandescent recessed lights run hot enough to cook the insulation above them. LED trims run cool, which is better for the fixture, the attic and the fire risk.
Where it pays back fastest
- Kitchens and garages with fluorescent tubes and aging ballasts
- Recessed halogen cans, swapped for LED retrofit trims
- Exterior and security lights that run all night
- Shop and warehouse high-bays, parking lot poles and wall packs
If you're not sure whether to retrofit the existing fixtures or replace them, bring us a photo. The answer is usually obvious once we see the fixture body.
