How the install works
First we look at your panel. A 48A charger needs a 60A circuit, and not every 100A panel has the headroom. If you're short, we'll tell you before you buy anything, and we'll show you the options: a smaller charger, a load-management device, or a panel upgrade. Then we run a dedicated circuit in the right wire gauge, mount the charger where the cable actually reaches the charge port, and commission it with the manufacturer's app so you're charging before we pull out of the driveway.

How fast will it charge?
A typical Level 2 charger adds 20 to 30 miles of range per hour, depending on the car and the amperage. Most drivers wake up to a full battery every day.
Can I put the charger outside?
Yes. We install outdoor-rated units and use weatherproof boxes and conduit. Many Modesto customers charge in the driveway.
What if my panel is full?
Sometimes we can free up space with tandem breakers or a load-management device. If the service itself is the limit, we'll quote a panel upgrade alongside so you can decide with real numbers.
