Electrical troubleshooting
in Modesto, CA
The problems that come and go are the ones that drive people crazy: a light that flickers only at night, a breaker that trips once a week, a room that loses power then comes back. Troubleshooting is where 32 years of experience earns its keep.

How we find it
Intermittent faults hide in loose neutrals, backstabbed outlets, overloaded shared circuits, corroded connections in exterior boxes, and breakers that have simply worn out. We work the circuit systematically: confirm the symptom, isolate the run, test each connection, load the circuit and watch what happens. When we find it, we show you, then fix it or give you a written price if it's a bigger job.
Problems we chase down
- Lights that flicker or dim on their own
- A breaker that trips randomly with nothing obviously wrong
- Outlets that work sometimes
- Half a room dead while the other half works
- Tingling or shocks from appliances or plumbing fixtures
- Strange buzzing from switches, outlets or the panel
- Higher-than-normal electric bills with no explanation
Common questions
How long does troubleshooting take?
Most faults are found within the first hour. Truly intermittent ones can take longer, and we'll tell you up front if we need to leave a monitor on the circuit or come back when the symptom is active.
Is it cheaper to just replace things until it works?
Almost never. Replacing an outlet, then a switch, then a breaker adds up fast and rarely touches the real cause. One diagnostic visit usually costs less than the second guess.
Can you troubleshoot commercial buildings?
Yes. Parking lot lighting, tenant spaces, sign circuits and shop equipment are regular calls.
