Done right, not just swapped
LED retrofits go wrong when the ballast is left in, the driver doesn't match the dimmer, or someone picks 5000K for a living room. We bypass or remove ballasts, match drivers to dimmers, and choose color temperature by room: warm for living spaces, neutral for kitchens and baths, daylight for shops and garages. Commercial customers get a fixture count and an estimate of the monthly savings before we start.
Common questions
Will my existing dimmers work with LED?
Some will, many won't. Old dimmers cause flicker and buzzing with LED. We test each switch and replace the ones that need a dimmer designed for LED loads.
How much will I save?
LED uses roughly 75% less energy than incandescent and about half of fluorescent. For a shop or parking lot that runs 12 hours a night, the fixtures often pay for themselves within a year or two.
Can you convert my fluorescent fixtures instead of replacing them?
Often, yes. Ballast-bypass LED tubes in the existing fixture are a clean, lower-cost option when the fixture body is in good shape.
